To frame your canvas, see choices at bottom of page.   Blue Max--Maxwell Smart is a Shepherd-mix puppy I rescued 2 years ago from a facility in Nogales that was about to euthanize him. He is my constant companion in the painting studio, and one day he decided he’d create his own masterpiece. He chose bright red paint and smeared it all over the white carpet in my bedroom, then ate what was left. After three baths and several days of bright red poop in my backyard, he seemed ok. I was so relieved! I now have a baby gate blocking the door into the studio when we’re not in there together. Max is a never-ending source of amusement and joy, which is the feeling I attempted to convey in this light-hearted portrait of him. ---Diana Madaras
