Available for pickup or local delivery only. Repurposed steel tools, ash wood, and glass cabochons42" high, 26" deep, 11" wide base, 8" wide body This heron is poised in its graceful stance. It could work nicely as an accent over low evergreen spreads or against simple plant or shrub backgrounds. A fairly compact piece that will draw attention no matter where it sits. The body is carved from a piece of ash wood from our property. The back and tail are half of an old post hole digger and the wings are shaped from a vintage transfer shovel. The ornamental head feathers are from part of a found candle holder. The paint finishes are absolutely rated for outdoor use and should last for many years, but will likely survive even longer if stored indoors over the winter ... or simply let it age year-round and enjoy the slow weathering process that always adds even more character.
