His graceful rack of antlers means he's ready for anything though. Steel and wood are great companions. I really enjoy figuring out new ways to combine them. The body was power carved from an ash log and finished with a semi gloss spar urethane and his antlers were crafted from two old pitchforks. The base has some weight to it, so while this piece is somewhat tall, it isn't tippy. He'll make a great accent point in any space. The paint and wood finishes are absolutely rated for outdoor use and should last for many years, but will likely survive even longer if stored indoors over the winter ... or simply let it age year-round and enjoy the slow weathering process that always adds even more character.
