These pillows are woven by artisans using a back-strap loom, a time honored method of weaving. Weaving with a backstrap loom is a time intensive and highly skilled craft that involves the weaver becoming part of the loom. Artisans wrap threads around a stationary object, then create tension by wrapping a strap around their waist and leaning back. The pattern is achieved by using a traditional hand dyeing technique called Jas
