MADSEN Maelkekasse Crate

Our custom Mælkekasse is handcrafted by Jared Madsen and inspired by his father and uncle, Even and Dan, and their Danish delivery bikes from the 1940s. As young boys, they delivered groceries and supplies between Aalborg and surrounding towns. Their grandfather owned a dairy farm called ENKILDEGAARD, where old milk canisters were recently discovered—sparking the idea for this beautiful, front-rack crate. The Mælkekasse (milk cream crate) is thoughtfully designed and hand-built by Jared in the MADSEN shop using upcycled wood. It’s custom-tooled to fit your front rack perfectly. Finally, a way to carry even more cargo on your bucket bike. Easily removable and endlessly useful—it’s your grocery crate, apple box, or neighborhood mail carrier. And it attaches securely to the front rack for a smooth ride home.
