They both come with the same instructions and will handle similarly. -The Basic sets are made of Poly-Cotton ropes, about 1/4” in diameter and pure white. As a point of reference, medium rope in the set is about 22” long. The ends of the ropes are fused together with heat to prevent them from fraying. -The Professional sets are made of cotton ropes, bright white and the ends have been tucked in and glued - which gives the ends a distinctive finished look.
