This lovely wide brim hat most likely dates to the 1930s, perfect for a garden party! The low crown has a bit of a mushroom shape, and actually extends below the brim to form a curving cap that is deeper in back. The variation between red and white creates a lovely effect. The wide brim is not perfectly circular - it's widest in the front and on the sides, a bit narrower in back.The hat is trimmed with narrow red grosgrain ribbon that forms a cascading soft bow down the right side of the brim.SIZE: Labeled size 22 1/2  Measurements Inches Cm Inner band circumference 21.5" 54.5 Outer brim circumference 44.5" 113 Diameter of brim side to side 14" 35.5 Height of crown sitting on flat surface 2.5 to 3" 6.25 to 7.5 MATERIALS/COLORS: Woven using an ombre material that is mostly red but fades in and out of white as well.
