Rowdy Rufous Print

ROWDY RUFOUS The Rufous Hummingbird comes to Alaska approximately the last week in March and they are gone again by Aug 1.  In that time they pick out a territory, find a mate and raise two batches of babies.  The males are EXTREMELY aggressive and will attack and try to drive away anybody or anything that comes into their territory.  Even though they view me as an intruder I still do my duty and fill the feeder every day.  It is such fun to watch the youngsters try to get their skills. Note that I have two  sizes of this print.  The 16 x 20 and 11 x 14 is full size.  The 8 x 10 is cropped somewhat.  When the image is small (8 x 10) and I use the full size image, the tiny Rufous look like dots on the paper.  I don't think I have had even one sale of this piece that was not remarqued because it  just looks that good.   High quality print from original watercolor by Maida Kelley.
