A New Pod of orca in Southeast Alaska. When I was a girl I did one of those “don't try this at home” things: I was bow riding on a small 14 ft. skiff. As we were going down the narrows, a pod of orca came up under us, my brother took a 90 degree turn, and I fell off the bow into the water. I was petrified. Going into the water all I saw was black and white, but when I came up, nothing was in sight except my brother and sister racing back to get me.
