Encouragement (Cardinal)

Cardinals are often symbols of hope and love, and they are sometimes thought of as messengers from loved ones who have passed and are offering encouragement. This sewn and embroidered cardinal rests on a branch with a string and key in its beak in front of a colorful, scrappy background. It is both machine quilted and hand quilted and embroidered. It was then stitched onto an artist’s canvas, sized 19.5”x 19.5”x 1/2”. I loved, loved, loved making this piece.
