Located in Metro Detroit, Milford is a quaint regional favorite for shopping and dining. This print was created with two blocks - one for the sky and one for the black outlines. Before printing the black block, the details underneath were hand-painted. ORIGINAL RELIEF PRINTIn relief printmaking, an artist applies ink to a hand-carved block and then burnishes the inked relief onto a piece of paper. Multiple originals are possible by re-inking the carved surface and burnishing the relief onto a new piece of paper.
