I studied drawing and painting at the Art Students League of New York and spent a couple of summers at the Beaux Arts in Paris and at the Florence Academy of Art.  After several years in Chelsea, I recently moved into my new studio in Long Island City.  I am a member of the Portrait Society of America and The Art Student League of New York.  I have participated in few solo and group exhibitions in New York and France.  I work mostly on commissions for portraits or landscapes and my paintings can be found in private collections in the USA and France.  Mercedes Nugent-Head  MAISON 10 has chosen to support 9 charities – the charity chosen for this artwork is Housing Works.
