Workshop: Visible Mending

  Visible Mending Workshop When: February 8, 2026 3-5 pm Visible Mending Class  You can give new life to ripped or worn clothing or just learn the skills of visible mending. We will use the skills from Shashiko - a Japanese mending tradition that adds artistry and durability.  Materials: Bring a worn pair of jeans, or other cotton clothing with rips or holes If you don’t have any you can buy some canvas fabric to practice on.  Mending kit: In your mending kit which you get to take home we have curated the tools you will need to keep mending including a hoop, sashiko thread, a needle, scrap fabric, and tiny scissors.  This class is great for beginners and also great for those who already have some mending skills.  Cost: $65 ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED Skill Level: newbie/novice
