Marielle Smith Happy Birthday Private Raku Firing

Date: Saturday, Spetember 6, 2025 Time: 12PM - 3PM Participants: 15 Description: Experience the excitement of raku firing, a dynamic ceramic process known for its unpredictable and stunning surface effects. We'll begin by applying specialized raku glazes to pre-made bisque-fired pieces, allowing you to design the pieces with your own unique style. Then we'll place the glazed pieces into the raku kiln until they reach red-hot temperatures. Once removed, the work is quickly transferred into combustible materials, creating unique crackles, flashes, and metallic finishes. This workshop is open to all skill levels and offers a unique opportunity to experiment and explore the beauty of raku.
