Organic Coconut Glycerin

Glycerin (sometimes called glycerine) is a clear, smooth, naturally sweet liquid often used to keep things soft and hydrated. It’s what’s known as a humectant—an ingredient that helps retain moisture. At Maker’s Mark Herbals, we offer only food-grade coconut glycerin that’s exceptionally pure and naturally derived. It’s a clean, sustainable choice—free from palm sourcing and the environmental concerns that can come with it. In our formulas, glycerin is the primary solvent, offering a polarity similar to alcohol without the harsh effects alcohol can have on delicate plant constituents or on sensitive systems. It also lends a light natural sweetness and can slightly increase viscosity, improving mouthfeel. Our coconut glycerin contains 99.7% glycerin and 0.3% water, yielding a silky, stable base with naturally mild sweetness—versatile and wholesome for a wide range of herbal preparations.
