Pyrite, also known as "Fool's Gold", is an iron sulfide that has a shiny, metallic gold luster. This particular pyrite (Cocada pyrite) is from Peru and is known for its superior, metallic luster. Pyrite sourced from this region is widely regarded as some of the highest quality pyrite in the world. This crushed pyrite has a brilliant sparkle and is very clean with no impurities. Our powdered material consists of mostly silt and clay sized particles. Our powders do have a slight grit to them.
