Crushed Rainbow Moonstone with Biotite Mica Chips from India, Pea-Sized Gravel (2mm-4mm) for Resin Art, Embellishments or Succulent Gravel
Despite its name, rainbow moonstone is actually a type of white labradorite feldspar that commonly crystallizes with other minerals, such as biotite (mica) and tourmaline. Rainbow moonstone can have bright flashes of iridescent blue due to light waves interacting within the crystalline lattice; however, the moonstone flash is not preserved when the mineral has been progressively pulverized into tiny pieces. This particular crushed rainbow moonstone is bright white and has an even mix of dark brown/black biotite. MATERIAL SIZE Our crushed coarse material is considered to be pea-sized gravel, ranging between 2 millimeters to 4 millimeters.
