Crushed Pink Rhodochrosite Powder from Argentina, Fine Crush (<0.25mm)
Rhodochrosite is a rare, manganese-carbonate gemstone that commonly has alternating light and dark bands of pink and brown. Rhodochrosite is formed by continuous precipitation of manganese carbonate, similar to cave formations with stalactites and stalagmites on the roof and floor of a cavern. This mineral is relatively soft, with a Moh's hardness between 3.5 and 4. This material is from Argentina, which is a world-class location for rhodochrosite deposits. Our powdered material consists of mostly silt and clay sized particles. Our powders do have a slight grit to them. Please see the corresponding sediment size chart.
