Sisal Peace Basket: Teal

These sisal baskets are a beautiful way to bring a piece of Rwandan tradition to any day or celebration.  Woven from natural sisal fibers, one 9 inch basket takes at least one day to weave. Though securely attached, the lids of these miniature baskets can be removed- it’s the perfect hiding place for a gift! These baskets are exclusive to the Malena Collection. The sisal peace basket has also become a Rwandan cultural symbol of peace and reconciliation.  The Rwandan social enterprise who made these is focused on maximizing economic opportunity for rural artisans through the development and promotion of their craft.
