MDX Tempered Glass Lens Kit (Ultra Clear)

This is a 26.4 x 1.6 mm Tempered and AR Coated (UCL) Glass Lens for the MDX Head. Visible Light Transmissibility is 98%. This lens is chemically strengthened, aka chemically tempered, as opposed to heat tempered. It is 4-5x stronger than float glass. High temperature resistance compared to standard acrylic lenses. It is more scratch resistant that float glass. The AR coating allows for 98% transmissibility compared to 90-92% of float glass.   This kit includes the front black neoprene seal, the lens, and the rear white nylon bearing washer. The front rim of the M-Series Dropin bears against this white washer. The order of assembly is illustrated in second the picture. Things To Know Before Purchase: This kit does NOT Include a MDX Head, Dropin, or Retaining Ring. They are only shown in the picture for clarity of assembly. You Will Need a MDX Head Wrench or suitable tool for installation of this lens. The use of improper tools can result in damage to the head. The MDX Head Wrench can
