The pile (fur fiber length) is about 1.5 inches in length on these hoods, versus the 2-2.5 inch pile length on most of my other Luxury Shag furs. Additionally, due to the length of time this fur has been rolled/stored in my fur collection, there are some minor creases in the fur itself. These creases can be relaxed and straightened by spritzing the fur with some water, gently combing the water through the fur, and drying it slowly using the lowest heat setting of a hair dryer.
