Gold Medalist, ASCOT Awards 2023 This whiskey was crafted with Simpsons Peated Malt, aged for 3 years in second-use, heavily charred, American oak barrels. Finished in a 500-liter ex-sherry puncheon for 1 year. Same distillate, different finish as the spirit that received a 92 rating from Whiskey Advocate in 2022.  100% malted barley ~ Phenols: 35 ppm (medium-light). Nose: Peat, rosewater, orange. Palate: Chocolate, toasted marshmallow, stone fruits. Finish: Medium, creamy; leather, hint of lemon peel. Alc. by Vol.: 47% ~ Proof: 94 ~ Vol: 750ml Due to PA state liquor law requirements, this product can only be sold through our website to residents within the state of Pennsylvania. Produced in accordance with the standards of the American Single Malt Whiskey Commission.
