Yak Down Slippers

These cozy slippers are 60% yak down and 40% lamb fleece. Yak down is sourced from the high steppes of Arkhangai Province, and lamb fleece comes from the Gobi  Made by a single artisan producing no more than 50 pairs a month. These slippers feature traditional Mongolian stitching and have extra padding in the sole with extra thickness in the heel.  The bottom sole is made from a man-made suede-like material (called Elig in Mongolian) which is hard-wearing BUT not for outside use.  Your purchase supports Kazakh women entrepreneurs and artisans in Mongolia who receive fair pay for their craft.
