This extender uses HDBaseT technology to optimize whole-home or commercial AV distribution at much greater distances than standard HDMI cables to place UHD TVs where they're needed with no loss of signal quality.  This HDMI Extender's transmitter and receiver connect with a single Cat5e/6 cable (not included). For added convenience, the transmitter and receiver modules have additional 3.5 mm ports for bidirectional Infrared (IR), offering remote control of the UHD / HD signal source or display.  To experience a true 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 HDR10 signal, all parts of the setup must support it, including HDMI cables. The transmitter also offers a loop-out HDMI port to connect a display near a source and know what is showing on the displays at the receiver. This 4K HDMI Extender also offers Power Over Cable (PoC) technology, to give power to the receiver from the power-connected transmitter or vice versa. For greater accessibility in the setup, this 4K HDMI Extender also features an RS232/serial port to connect a control processor that can carry out simple and complex commands.
