This extender uses HDBaseT technology to optimize whole-home or commercial AV distribution at much greater distances than standard HDMI cables to place UHD TVs where they're needed with no loss of signal quality.  This HDMI Extender's transmitter and receiver connect with a single Cat5e/6 cable (not included). For added convenience, the transmitter and receiver modules have additional 3.5 mm ports for bidirectional Infrared (IR), offering remote control of the UHD / HD signal source or display.  To experience a true 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 HDR10 signal, all parts of the setup must support it, including HDMI cables.
