Late 19th century arched cast iron summer cover from New York, NY. Measurements: 16"W x 27"H x 2"D. Marked on back, "Jackson 66." Jackson Architectural Iron Works was a prominent business established in 1840. Many of the beautiful cast iron 19th century building facades in and around New York will bear the name Jackson. A high relief design pays tribute to a man's face in the center, possibly Christopher Columbus. A decorative border adorns the sides and bottom with ornamental motifs. This cover has been sandblasted and powder coated in a matte black finish for durability and easy maintenance.
