A bold and simple antique Victorian mantel from the start of the aesthetic movement, circa 1865 in finely veined carrara marble. The end blocks are enriched with simple shields, below the ogee edged rectangular shelf.  Subtle graphic lines form x markings on the breast piece and sides.  Ideal for gas inserts.
