They are commonly used in food facilities, such as meat packing plants because of their color & traits. These wheels are lightweight yet hold high weight capacities & are also non-marking. They also are washable, steam cleanable, impervious to water & highly resistant to solvents, oils, grease, most chemicals & cleaning solutions. These wheels are similar to polyolefin & nylon wheels but offer a higher temperature rating. * Total locking brake casters work best with softer wheels like neoprene, soft rubber, thermoplastic rubber & polyurethane. The softer wheel allows the brake pad to grip the tread effectively. While total locking brakes also work with harder wheels, a strong push may cause slight movement of the caster wheel.
