Mount Whitney, or Tumanguya, is the tallest peak in the contiguous 48. The mountain is popular for backpackers and hikers, and lays on the stunning John Muir trail. For the more adventurous, there are many advanced alpine routes. Contours every 15ft with major contours every 150ft. This map begins at an elevation of 12060ft.
