It is a high definition camera and can only be used  with a AHD capable DVR to record. If you have a newer HD DVR, it will most likely be able to view and record in multiple video formats.  Most new DVRs automatically detect CVI, TVI or AHD video formats. Make sure to check your DVR before purchasing this camera. We build these cameras here in different high definition formats. Some have white LEDs and some have infrared LEDs. The video format cannot be changed on the camera. You must purchase the camera in the video format you need.  This camera is AHD and has NO LEDS. Many small portable DVRs are actually AHD only.
