Mas Des Inferieres, 2020 Source Rouge
Open this when the plan is grilled steak, good music, and staying out on the patio well past sunset. It’s structured, smoky, and doesn’t need much else to shine. Tasting Notes: Deep purple in the glass, this Luberon red opens with smoky, spicy aromatics layered over notes of licorice, blackcurrant, and wild red fruit. The palate is rich and round, with elegant texture and a core of ripe Syrah depth softened by Grenache's supple warmth. Melted tannins support a long, flavorful finish, bringing complexity and balance to this expressive Southern Rhône blend. Varietals: 70% Syrah, 30% Grenache About the Estate: Attracted by the Mediterranean climate and Luberon’s natural beauty, Ridley Scott and his family acquired the MAS DES INFERMIÈRES in 1992. It was not until 2009 that the Scott family decided to produce and bottle their first vintages with a local co-operative. Now the estate utilizes sustainable viticulture (HVE3) with planned optimization of all resources to lower the vine
