Classic silk dupioni* in black with an irregular imperfect (and interesting) weave, deadstock from an LA designer. Light/shirting weight, opaque, softly textured, with a soft hand and lightly crisp yet malleable drape. Dress it up or down, make a dress, shirt, skirt, vest, soft pant, light jacket, or duster coat. Makes a luxurious lining, works for accessories and home decor too. A silk jacket or vest is a basic in my wardrobe and makes a smooth layering piece to slide over/under other garments and travels well.
