White Jade Hoop Earrings

A lustrous vintage pair of white jade and 14 karat gold hoop earrings. Nice, chunky hoops are a covetable and easy jewelry staple and these are special ones, crafted of two crescent-shaped pieces of the loveliest white jadeite jade. Jade is a mineral known for its excellent toughness (resistance to breakage) due to its structure composed of interlocking small crystals. These earrings are secured by a 14k gold cap on either edge of the jade ring, linked by a hinged, slightly curved ear-wire that fastens in a U-shaped catch.
