Onions

There's something magical about how onions begin to sprout just as they've passed their prime for cooking. I love how the green sprouts playfully twist and grow toward the sunlight, ready to begin the cycle of life once more.    Like onions, this painting became a staple in my kitchen as I worked on it off and on for many years. My art rarely follows a linear path of beginning, middle, and end. Like the onion sprouts, I let the painting unfold more naturally, playfully following my inspiration.
