Known for its popularity among knife makers, the W1843 Knife Belt Sander/Buffer is equipped with a 2" x 72" abrasive belt and an extended buffing wheel shaft. This tool facilitates full-access buffing or stropping. The sanding belt offers versatile usage along the platen, above the platen for free forming, or against the 10" rubber-faced drive wheel. Replacement belts for the W1843 are available for purchase. Featuring a belt arm that tilts from 0-90°, the machine allows quick belt changes through a simple release mechanism. Belt tracking adjustment is achieved by rotating the adjustment knob. The left arbor accommodates buffing wheels, sanding drums, or flap wheels up to 10" in diameter with a 5/8" bore.
