Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens is located in Kaneohe on Oahu, and is one of the most enchanting locations on the Island. The Ko'olau Mountain Range in it's self is a breath taking sight, but when seen from the beautiful botanical Gardens it takes my breath away every time. Original (40" x 30" Oil on Canvas), in one of Howard's custom made mahogany frames. This painting was done "Plein Air," which means outside, on location. While doing Plein Air, one must capture the essence of each scene quickly as everything the artist sees from color to shadows changes.
