Kailua Beach Park is an incredible adventure with countless views. Even during crowded days the scenery is never muted! I painted this piece with a fellow plein air artist which made it all the more fun. Just looking at this painting brings me happiness. Anyone who has ever been there knows what I am saying. Original (24" x 1"8 Oil on Canvas) This painting was done "Plein Air," which means outside, on location. While doing Plein Air, one must capture the essence of each scene quickly as everything the artist sees from color to shadows changes.
