Shower at Waimea

Waimea Bay is visited by many people throughout the year.  Once ones sees its expansive beauty, they understand the attraction all to well.  Waimea is a great place to paint, not just because of the endless beautiful views, but also because of the fascinating human subject matter! Original (14" x 11" Oil on Canvas) This painting was done "Plein Air," which means outside, on location.  While doing Plein Air, one must capture the essence of each scene quickly as everything the artist sees from color to shadows changes.
