Typically, when we see examples of this desirable combination, they are miniature or smaller, as larger specimens tend to lack the andradite garnet matrix. However, this piece is an exceptional example—not only is it large and mostly damage-free (except for one small point on the back), but it is also incredibly well-balanced and aesthetically striking. It's undeniably one of the best I’ve seen offered on the American market. From a find in the 2000s, this piece is sure to become a Russian classic.
