This study marks the beginning of a fuller portrait. American cellist, child prodigy, played for presidents Dwight Eisenhower John F. Kennedy when he was seven, graduated from the Juilliard School and Harvard University. Has recorded more than 92 albums and received 19 Grammy Awards. Huge classical repertoire, also recorded American bluegrass, traditional Chinese melodies, tangos, has collaborated with Carlos Santana, Sting, James Taylor, Miley Cyrus.  United Nations Messenger of Peace, Avery Fisher Prize, Presidential Medal of Freedom, Kennedy Center Honors, one of Time's 100 Most Influential People of 2020. And I, the painter, still can't carry a tune...
