Ikebana is the ancient Japanese art of floral arranging. A kenzans (剣山) (or "sword mountains") are the foundations of any ikebana arragement. The pins of the kenzan pierce the base of botanical stems, which holds them in place. Ikebana allows students to experiment with shape, movement, subtlety, balance, and harmony.
