"Rigoletto" is a bronze sculpture created by Erté. From the edition of 412, the bronze is stamped with the artists signature. The sculptures dimensions are 19.5 x 18.25 x 5.5" and the sculpture ships accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. This sculpture was based on a 1920 gouache costume design for the singer Ganna Walska as Gilda in Verdi's opera 'Rigoletto.' Erté wrote, "Here is Gilda coming out the the Duke's bedroom in tears, dressed in his dressing gown over his shirt." The image can be seen again in 1985 as a serigraph of the same title. The gouache can be found in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
