Original- Oil on canvas 24"x 30" This original painting depicts Harriet Tubman as she presses through the forest at night on the Underground Railroad armed with her rifle on a mission. This is oil on texture treated canvas and done in my plastic Space figurative abstraction was a challenge. This painting was inspired by the new series on TV about the Underground Railroad and I found this hard to watch so I resorted to sketching while watching and this is a result of one sketch.
