"The Uplift" was born from a place of heaviness—a moment when I needed a reminder to look up. In this piece, a fox gently lifts a crow fledgling on its nose, offering it a glimpse of a butterfly in flight. It’s a quiet gesture of encouragement, almost as if the fox is saying, “One day, you’ll fly too.” Below, nestled among ink-drawn wildflowers, another baby crow watches alongside tiny woodland animals, as if witnessing hope in motion. This painting became my own small act of healing—a visual nudge toward lightness, wonder, and the belief that even in stillness, we are growing wings.
