I "saw" a flower on the canvas before me on the floor. I painted to its image. A few happy accidents happened in the studio. Something fascinating emerged from the original flower image I imagined on the canvas. That's where the title of this series came from. Pink Flower is a beautiful, unique, creative expression bursting with color and energy. It is one of 12 paintings in my "de fleurs a un petit je-ne-sais-quoi de fascinat series."   Inspiration The innovative work of Helen Frankenthaler who developed the soak-stain technique of painting inspired these paintings. After practicing this technique for six months, I embarked upon a painting series loosely based on flowers.
