This limited edition abstract photograph tells a story about time, dark and light. "Last Light/First Light" is evidence of my dedication to slowing time and capturing the nighttime allure on the year's shortest day.I watch as the final rays of light vanish at night and reawaken at dawn. I expose the same roll of 2 1/4 film at dusk and dawn, and the cross-patterns emerge from this photographic process.  "Last Light/First Light" commenced in the year 2000, when I began documenting light and time. The photograph was taken on December 21st and 22nd, 2004. This limited edition abstract photograph consists of 50 prints, and each measures 12" x 12", signed on the recto. "Last Light/First Light, 2004" contributes to fundraising efforts expanding access to natural spaces in New York City.
