Martin Ukuleles - 1919 Style-2 Soprano Uke Used
This 1919 Martin Soprano Uke is a great-sounding, beautiful little vintage ukulele. Its all-Mahogany construction - top, back, sides, and neck - looks great and lends to the big tone from this pint-sized instrument. The top and sides are crack free and the entire instrument has a beautiful, played-in patina. At some point during its life, the neck was refinished, and the back does exhibit one, almost invisible hairline crack. There is a side ding on the lower bout of the bass side (see photos). This uke was most likely built during a transition period at Martin when the 9th fret position marker was moved from the 9th to the 10th fret. It does have a set of mismatched tuners, but the three Patent Grover tuners are most likely from the early 1920s. Here in Very Good condition with original chip board case.
