Water Parameters: Medaka ricefish thrive in water with a pH range of 6.5-7.5 and a temperature between 68-78°F (20-26°C). They prefer slightly soft to moderately hard water conditions. Diet: These omnivorous fish have a varied diet. In the wild, they consume insects, zooplankton, algae, and plant matter. In an aquarium, they will accept high-quality flakes, pellets, live or frozen foods like brine shrimp and daphnia, and occasional vegetable matter. Temperament: Medaka ricefish are peaceful and non-aggressive, making them suitable for community aquariums. They are known for their calm and friendly demeanor, rarely showing aggression towards tankmates. Schooling or Non-Schooling Fish: Medaka ricefish are non-schooling fish.
