Traditional Bamboo Whisk

The authentic, traditional tool to prepare matcha, Bamboo Whisks were the utensil used thousands of years ago during traditional Japanese tea ceremonies. This is a tool we could not make matcha without. After sifting matcha into a whisking bowl and adding water, gently but swiftly move the whisk in a zigzag motion until frothy. This will provide a light and smooth consistency, heightening the Matchaful experience. Our whisks are hand-carved and shaped directly out of 100% natural, chemical-free bamboo. Because of this, there is a slight, natural variation in size and shape. Your whisk may not match exactly with the one pictured. After a few uses, the tines/bristles in the center may straighten out. When not in use, we recommend storing this on our White Ceramic Whisk Stand.
