You’re not going to get many restaurants that use a cat as a mascot, but somehow, they made this work! The illustration of the bug-eyed cat on the front of the matchbook is vibrant, memorable and totally makes sense when you flip the matchbook and see that the cat is eagerly staring at a delicious fish (who is mocking the cat by dancing in a top hat and cane no less!). “Kit Kat” operated sometime during the 1920s and 30s and was known for its food specials and cheap cocktails.
