Through the 1940s, 50s and 60s, “The Cave” was one of Boston’s hottest nightclubs featuring big band musical performances and appearances by the likes of Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack, as well as the biggest comedians of the day including Jerry Lewis. Along with the Cave was the Vienna Room and Blue Room, all attached to the bigger restaurant known as Steuben’s.
